About Marie-Reine ‘M Queen‘ Kabasha:

Active in the Montreal dance scene since 2013, Marie-Reine Kabasha, aka M Queen, has had the opportunity to work with creators demonstrating refined and versatile artistic languages, including several prominent figures in the Montreal and international street dance scene. As a performer, she joined EBNFLŌH in 2014 under the direction of Alexandra ‘Spicey’ Landé and Tentacle Tribe in 2016 under the direction of Emmanuelle Lê Phan et Elon Höglund. In 2019, she collaborated with the French waacking collective Ma Dame Paris. Lately, she has been working with Brigitte Poupart, Jacques Poulin-Denis, Sébastien Provencher, Helen Simard and Caroline Laurin-
Beaucage.

Inspired by all forms of expression and by naturopathy, Marie-Reine combines her love of movement of all kinds and her pleasure of sharing in all her practices. In freestyle as well as in theater work or teaching experiences, every exchange opportunity nourishes her. She started developing her own artistic language through a research project called “Trigger Point”, while continuing to collaborate with artists who inspire her. From this research, she is now drawing her first stage work Ce qui m’habite.
